Founded in 1984 Main Street Batesville began with a shared belief that downtown is more than a collection of buildings—it’s the heart of our community. Built on collaboration between local leaders, businesses, and residents, the organization was created to preserve our historic core while reimagining what downtown could be for future generations. Over time, our work has grown from small-scale revitalization efforts into community-wide placemaking, signature events, and economic development initiatives. Today, Main Street Batesville continues to focus on strengthening quality of life, supporting local businesses, and creating experiences that bring people together and keep downtown thriving.
