Annual Lighted Chrismas Parade & Weihnachtsfest Dates Are Set
Annual lighted Christmas parade is scheduled for Nov 28th at 7pm on Main Street in Russell Ks (Weather delay date is set for Dec 5th)
Weihnachtsfest will be on Dec 5th in downtown Russell
* Local non profits and local vendors will be set up on the sidewalks of Main Street like the yesteryear selling homemade breads, cakes, soups, pies, candy & crafts from 10-2
*Horse drawn carriage rides from Rock'n B Carriage rides will be Noon-2pm. Carriage rides will be set up next to Cecil Bricker park. Rides will be $2 or free with a Weihnachtsfest button.
*Festival of green cheer contest wreaths will be on display in the window of the Gregwire Pharmacy building at 714 N Main.
*Weihnachtsfest buttons designed by 4 of our talented Jr high artists are on sell for $5. You can buy them by contacting Mandy at Russell Main Street or visiting a participating business on Main Street.
*Handmade Santa by Loretta Miller of Great Bend will be given away on December 19th. To enter the drawing for our beautiful Santa you will need to purchase a Weihnachtsfest button for $5. Limited number of buttons will be sold between Nov 1-Dec 19th
*Santa will be at Southwind Bank for pictures with Santa
*Russell Public Library will have kids activities
*Knights of Columbus funnel truck will be set up at the corner of 8th & Main
