Russell Main Street

Founded in 1991 Russell Main Street, Inc. was founded in 1991 to support the preservation and economic vitality of downtown Russell, Kansas. As a nationally accredited Main Street America program, RMSI works to revitalize the historic commercial district through a four-point approach covering economic vitality, design, promotion, and organization. Over more than three decades, RMSI has partnered with local businesses, property owners, and community organizations to restore historic buildings, grow downtown events, and attract investment to North Main Street. Today, RMSI serves as the programmatic backbone of a coordinated downtown revival, connecting resources, building capacity, and making Russell a place worth coming back to.
