Founded in 1996Founded in 1996, the
Old Town Commercial Association (
OTCA) is a diverse coalition of businesses, property owners, and community members dedicated to preserving, revitalizing, and promoting Old Town Lansing. Nestled along the Grand River on Lansing’s northern edge, Old Town is the city’s most historic commercial district and is the home of the largest collection of Victorian and Neo-Classical buildings in the area- many of which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Over the last few decades,
Old Town has been transformed into a vibrant destination for arts, culture, and commerce. As one of Michigan’s designated Main Street communities, Old Town has seen nearly $100 million in public and private investment, leading to restored historic buildings, thriving businesses, and dynamic public events like the Festival of the Moon & Festival of the Sun.
Today, the OTCA continues to foster economic growth and community engagement through historic preservation, business support, and signature events that attract visitors from across the region. Supported by local businesses, residents, corporate sponsors, and the City of Lansing, the OTCA works to ensure that Old Town remains a welcoming, creative, and ever-evolving destination for all.
