Description

Medication safety is especially important for older adults. Join Dr. David McGreaham, MD, FACP, for an informative presentation on prescription drug safety, substance misuse prevention, and the unintended medical consequences that can arise from improper medication use, including drug poisoning.

Dr. McGreaham serves as Co-Chair of the Substance Free Coalition of Northwest Michigan, is an active member of the Grand Traverse County Substance Free Coalition, and is the Medical Director for the Northern Michigan Opioid Response Consortium (NMORC).

Attendees will learn how to safely secure, monitor, store, and dispose of medications to help keep themselves and their families safe. Prescription drug lock boxes, safe storage and disposal information, and Deterra disposal bags will be available.
