Sherwood Trust invites you to a community wide workshop Do It Yourself Human Resources for the Ultra-Small Teams with HRUprise on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 9 am – 12 pm. Community workshops are free and open to the public. Registration is required. You can sign up on our website: www.sherwoodtrust.org. This free community workshop takes place from 9 am – 12 pm on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Walla Walla YWCA (213 S 1st Ave, Walla Walla, WA 99362). Snacks are provided.

Accessibility: If you need assistance with childcare, transportation, interpretation or something else to attend, please contact Julia Leavitt at least two weeks prior to the event.

Participants in the Human Resources Workshop will:

  • Develop HR Fundamentals: Participants will gain the ability to establish a foundational HR function, including what policies you need to get started. 
  • Enhance Recruiting and Culture Strategies: Attendees will learn to master the recruitment process to attract and onboard team members who are aligned with their organization's mission, and discover strategies to foster an inclusive and productive workplace culture. 
  • Navigate Legal Compliance: Participants will learn how to stay on top of labor laws and compliance essentials to maintain legal integrity, and start sleeping better at night knowing their bases are covered.
