Elbert County Artists Guild Paint a Mural at the Pines & Plains Library

Recently the Elbert County Artists Guild painted a beautiful mural within the Children's Section of the Pines & Plains Library in Elizabeth. The mural itself depicts a lovely scene of the local wildlife and plants and is titled “Pines and Plains in Elbert County.” The mural also spans over 105 square-feet and includes 45 different plants and animals that are native to Elbert County.

The library held a celebration to thank the Guild for their work on the mural on April 12th.

Six different volunteers from the ECAG spent over 175 hours paining the mural, these volunteers include, Cecelia Simms, Cynthia Thye, Dan Kelly, Gloria Cavalier, Betsy Edwards and Wendy Finch.

We thank the Elbert County Artists Guild for their lovely work on the mural and their addition to our community!
