Downtown Carthage Set to Come Alive with Crawfish, Culture, and Community Fun on May 3


Downtown Carthage will be the place to be on Saturday, May 3, as two exciting events bring music, food, and festivities to the heart of the city.

🎉 Cinco de Mayo in Anderson Park
The Courtesy Club will host the 2nd Annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration at Anderson Park, right in the center of the downtown square. From 3 PM to 9 PM, the park will be filled with the sounds of lively music, the aromas of delicious food, and the energy of local vendors. Bring the family and enjoy a vibrant cultural celebration of community and heritage!

🦞 Tunes & Tails on W. Sabine Street
Just steps away, the Esquire Theater will present Tunes & Tails, a toe-tappin’ crawfish and live music fest on West Sabine Street from 4 PM to 10 PM. The event features:

•Live music all evening •Crawfish plates: •$24 for 3 lbs. with corn & potatoes •$38 for 5 lbs. with corn & potatoes •Concession stand favorites including hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, water, and soft drinks •Local businesses joining in: •Grind & Grain Beverage Co. – full drink menu available with the return of their TNT Lemon Shandy! •Pop’s Kitchen – serving Brunch from 10-2 and a special limited menu after 2 •The Fudge & More Store – open with all their sweet offerings, including ice cream
