Rooted in a proud history of agriculture, rail, and energy, Russell County is a place built on hard work, resilience, and community pride. That same spirit continues today through growing communities, local businesses, and a strong commitment to creating opportunity for the future.

Russell County offers the best of both growth and quality of life. Businesses benefit from a strategic location, supportive partnerships, helpful resources, and room to grow. At the same time, visitors are drawn to historic downtowns, outdoor recreation, local events, unique attractions, and the genuine hospitality found throughout our communities.

Russell County Economic Development & CVB works to support both community growth and tourism. Through economic development efforts, we help businesses grow, encourage new investment, support housing opportunities, and strengthen downtown areas. Through tourism promotion, we highlight local attractions, experiences, events, and the quality of life that makes this area special.

By working alongside local leaders, businesses, organizations, and residents, RCED/CVB helps turn ideas into action, opportunities into growth, and visitors into future residents, customers, and supporters.

Whether you are looking to start or expand a business, plan your next getaway, relocate your family, or invest in a welcoming community, Russell County offers opportunity and a place to belong.

Russell County

History

Russell County Economic Development & CVB was created to help strengthen and promote Russell County by supporting both economic growth and tourism. Recognizing the need for a dedicated organization focused on business development, community improvement, and visitor attraction, the office was established to serve as a central resource for progress across the county.

Over time, that role has continued to grow. Today, the organization works to support local businesses, attract new investment, encourage housing development, strengthen downtown districts, promote local events and attractions, and showcase everything that makes Russell County a great place to live, work, and visit.

By combining economic development with tourism efforts under one roof, Russell County Economic Development & CVB helps create opportunity, build community pride, and connect people with the resources and experiences our county has to offer.
