Jon directs a music school and is a music instructor based out of Folsom, CA. JJ Music Lessons has been teaching kids how to play music and directing bands in Sacramento County for several years now. Jon holds a Bachelors degree in Music (with an emphasis on classical guitar) from Wayland Baptist University. He has also been an active performer for over decade, playing guitar and singing in a wide variety of musical ensembles, from jazz trios to indie rock bands.
With a versatile musical background, Jon can accordingly offer lessons that are based on the individual students' goals. His genuine passion for the art of music ensures that his students get the most out of the experience.

In 2004 he taught guitar and music theory at GMI Music Institute of Myanmar.
In Spring 2010 he taught a graduate level guitar course at Golden Gate Theological Seminary. During that time he was also teaching music at the College of Marin and Marin Christian Academy. He also taught bands at Crossroads School of Music through other schools in Marin, CA. Jon has taught hundreds of students over his career as a musician.
