We’re seeking a Marketing Associate with 1-2 years of experience who will be responsible for referral/lead generation, social media, email campaigns, and media relations for both of Locable’s core product lines as well as a handful of customers where Locable acts as an agency.

The ideal candidate should be very personable online and off, comfortable working with our team members and customers alike and possess awesome written and verbal communication skills. Organization and a can-do attitude to manage multiple projects and deliverables is a must.


What will I do all day?

In this role, you’ll provide marketing support for our nationwide marketing tour (currently taking place through the end of 2020) and our Publisher Concierge clients as well as be charged with researching, planning, and implementing new marketing initiatives in coordination with the rest of our team.

Your primary responsibility will be to drive leads for our sales team through our unique referral generation process and through various marketing campaigns that will leverage content marketing, email, social media, press releases, and guest marketing/blogging with our partners. 

Secondarily, you will be responsible for engaging our existing customer base to keep them up-to-date on the latest trends and product features and to build a strong community feel that mimics our Main Street / #TakeBackLocal approach.

You’ll be expected to craft fun and engaging content, social media posts, and emails following our established approach. You’ll also need to leverage data to improve results over time while working closely with our sales, customer success, and product teams to identify lead sources, ensure loyal customers, and to contribute ideas to improve our products.

Web aptitude and tech-related writing for “non-techies” is essential - can you write for busy local business owners and make it engaging? A bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or business is preferred. Experience with Photoshop (or other graphic creation software) and familiarity with industry style guides -- such as the Chicago Manual of Style and/or AP Style is a plus.

We’re looking for someone special with experience with lead gen, building community online, and working with local businesses, especially those in retail, restaurant, professional services, publishing, and membership management.

  • You have 1-2+ years of experience with scrappy “startup” style marketing, local business marketing, and/or client relations, with results to prove it

  • You’re digital-savvy and know your way around major platforms & networks such as Facebook, WordPress, Web Builder Platforms like Wix or Squarespace, Mailchimp, etc.

  • You’re analytical and know how to gain insights from data, to monitor performance and prepare reports for customers and internal purposes

  • You’re a clear and concise writer - and, probably, a fan of Grammarly

  • You’re a growth hacker, a team player, and a fun-loving people-person
